The Gardens

After 3 years of maintenance, Salvador, the gardener , has given the garden all its character and charm. You will find three imposing carob trees, a grapefruit tree, a lemon tree, a pepper tree, olive trees and numerous succulents and cacti.
The carob is the emblematic tree of the Algarve. Its seeds were once used as a unit of measurement – the origin of the “Carat” – and its fruit, which has a flavour similar to chocolate, is used in many local desserts.
On the way to Le Jardin you will also find a bowling green.
