The Algarve has everything you need for your next holiday: exceptional sunshine, unspoilt beaches, breathtaking views, charming villages with historic districts, and a wide variety of hiking opportunities.
There are also 42 golf courses in the Algarve, 12 of which are within 25 minutes of La Caroube. Some of these are ranked among the most beautiful courses in Europe, notably Monte Rei and Quinta do Lago (El Sul and El Norte).
Along with golf, we enjoy Portuguese cuisine, made with fresh and local products. Fish and seafood are exceptional everywhere, not forgetting oranges, pomegranates, almonds, olive oil and Fleur de sel from local producers. The fish markets of Olhão and Tavira are a must.
You will spend in the Algarve and in la Caroube a great holiday!
Faro, the capital of the Algarve has retained a typically Portuguese feel. It has a beautiful marina, pleasant parks and squares and a picturesque “Cidade Velha“, surrounded by medieval ramparts inside which one discovers cobbled lanes, squares, museums, churches and cafes with terraces.
At the gates of the city are the lagoons, beaches and islands of the “Parque Natural da Ria Formosa”.
The traditional port of Olhão, 10km east of Faro, will give you the opportunity to discover more traditional facets of the Algarve.
On either side of the Rio Gilão, Tavira unfolds its maze of cobbled streets that conceal lush gardens, shady squares, a small fishing port and some historical sites, including the remains of a castle and a Roman bridge.
Only 3 KM from the coast, you will have access to the splendid beaches of the island of Tavira.
An inland town turned towards trade, Loulé has many assets to seduce visitors: a rich history, the remains of a castle, an attractive historic centre and quality craftsmanship (basketry, copper, lace).
